Madurai to Trichy Itinerary

Day 01Madurai Arrival - Hotel Transfer & Sightseeing

Arrival at Madurai Airport / Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. After refreshment, proceed to Meenakshi Amman Temple, a historic Tamil Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River in Madurai’s Temple City. It is dedicated to Parvati, also known as Meenakshi, and Shiva, who is known as Sundareswarar here. Visit the Gandhi Museum and the Thirumalai Nayak Palace. This palace is a classic blend of Dravidian and Rajput architecture. The main Palace, where the King resided. It was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the South. Visit Thiruparangundram Murugan Temple or Palamudircholai Murugan Temple in the evening.Overnight Stay at Madurai.

Day 02Madurai – Rameshwaram (170 Kms / 04 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed drive to Rameswaram. It’s situated on Pamban Island, which is separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel, and is approximately 50 kilometers from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. Rameswaram is unique in that it has 22 holy springs and India’s longest corridor. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, which, along with Varanasi, is considered one of the holiest Hindu sites in India and is part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. The Ramanathaswamy Temple honors the Hindu god Shiva. Both the temple and the town are considered holy pilgrimage sites for both Shaivas and Vaishnavas. Also visit AgnitheerthamRam Jharoka Temple, Dhanushkodi (Optional) and Adam’s Bridge.  Overnight Stay at Rameswaram.

Day 03Rameshwaram - Trichy (250 Kms / 04 Hrs 30 Mins Drive)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed drive to Trichy (Tiruchirappalli). It was a citadel of the early Cholas which later fell to the Pallavas. Trichy is a fine blend of tradition and modernity built around the Rock Fort. En route visit Devipattinam Navagraha Temple is known as Navapashanam Temple. This location in Devipattinam, Tamil Nadu, is said to be where Shri Rama installed the Navagrahas before embarking on his journey to Lanka. Pillayarpatti Karpaka Vinayaka Temple – A 7th-century CE rock-cut cave shrine, significantly expanded over the later centuries. Upon arrival check in to the hotel and Overnight stay at Trichy.

 

Day 04Trichy Sightseeing & Departure

Early morning visit Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple – A Hindu temple dedicated to Ranganatha (a form of Vishnu). The vast complex of Srirangam’s temple, dedicated to Vishnu, has seven enclosures formed by massive rampart walls and 21 elaborate towers. After breakfast check out from the hotel and VisitUchi Pillaiyar Temple – 7th-century Hindu temple, one dedicated to Lord Ganesha located a top of Rockfort. Then visit Jambukeswarar Temple, Thiruvanaikaval (also Thiruvanaikal, Jambukeswaram) is a famous Shiva temple. The evening drive to visit Kallanai Dam is also known as the “Grand Anicut”. An ancient dam built by Karikala of Chola dynasty in 150 CE. It is built (in running water) across the Kaveri River It’s one of the oldest irrigation dams in the world built around 2000 years ago. Later drop at Trichy Airport / Railway station.

Can I make full payment for the tour or holiday at once?

No, it is not necessary to pay in full when attempting to book a tour package. The customer must pay 50% to confirm the booking. The hotel vouchers will be mailed to guests within 2-3 business days of their original travel date. The remaining 50% should be released one day before your departure date. Only upon receipt of full payment will a tour be confirmed.

I'm planning for a vacation. What information is required when confirming a tour?

If you are booking on behalf of a family member or a friend, he or she must provide basic information such as Name, Email address, Contact number, places of interest, Travel Start Date, No of Days, No of Adults, Children age (if any), Hotel Category and Car Type.

What documents are required at the time of booking?

For domestic tours, you need to present an Aadhar Card and PAN, and for international tours, you need to present a valid Passport and PAN.

What if the primary hotel mentioned in the email is unavailable?

We will provide the same hotel listed in the email 99.9% of the time. If the listed hotel is not available, we will inform you as soon as possible and provide you with options for the next available similar hotels. You can choose the hotel, and we will stay in the same one.

Tamizhan Trails only book Air Tickets?

Yes. Tamizhan Trails does book air tickets for travellers after they pay in full and confirm the airfare, flight, and itinerary. Our service charge for the standalone service of air ticket booking is INR 250/- per person per domestic ticket and INR 500/- per person per international ticket.

What are the different payment modes for booking a tour?

Tamizhan Trails accepts payments through a number of different methods. UPI (GPay / PhonePe / PayTM / BHIM or Any UPI ID), Cash, Bank Transfers (IMPS / NEFT / RTGS), Credit & Debit Cards, Cheques, and Demand Draft are all acceptable forms of payment. All payments should be in the name of “Tamizhan Trails India Private Limited” only. Cash payment in INR will be accepted as per Government of India guidelines along with PAN. Outstation cheques are not accepted.
On payments made through an online payment gateway using Credit Card, EMI, Debit Card and Wallet payments, a convenience fee of 2% of the transaction amount is levied as bank payment gateway charges.

What documents should I carry on my tour?

All guests on domestic tours in India must carry an air ticket, insurance (if applicable), and photo identification in the form of an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving Licence, and College / School ID for students. For international tours, all guests, including children and infants, must have a Passport valid for at least Six months from the tour return date, as well as any necessary Visas, air tickets, and Insurance copies.

What is the tour cancellation policy?

If you cancel a tour or service for any reason, cancellation charges will be charged in accordance with Tamizhan Trails’ Cancellation Policy, which is detailed in the Terms & Conditions. More information can be found at http://tamizhantrails.com/terms-and-conditions.

How long does it take for a refund to be processed?

The applicable refund will be processed within 7 to 10 working days of confirmation of the cancellation, according to the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
According to Govt. regulations, any applicable refund from Tamizhan Trails for both Domestic and International tours will be paid by A/C payee Cheque/ NEFT/RTGS in Indian Rupees only, regardless of whether you paid for the tour in full or in part.
